growing law practice is seeking a seasoned Labor & Employment
Senior Counsel to join its team. This is a flexible opportunity
with the option to work from offices in northern New England or
remotely. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of
focused experience advising employers on a wide range of employment
matters, as well as strong litigation skills. This is a
leadership-track role offering the chance to work independently,
manage complex matters, and contribute to the mentorship of junior
attorneys. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Advise clients on complex
employment law matters, including workplace policies, compliance,
training, and risk management. Represent clients in litigation and
administrative proceedings involving claims of discrimination,
harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Draft and argue
pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; conduct depositions
and hearings. Serve as a strategic partner to employer clients,
providing day-to-day counsel and guidance on HR issues. Lead and
mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals; contribute to
training and development. Present on evolving topics in labor and
employment law through internal and external education sessions.
Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing practices in line with
firm policies. QUALIFICATIONS: J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; ability to
practice in or seek admission to the Maine Bar (if not already
licensed). Minimum of 10 years of experience in employment law,
with substantial litigation exposure. Strong deposition and
administrative hearing experience is essential. Ability to lead
teams, delegate effectively, and collaborate across remote and
in-person work environments. Excellent written and verbal
