Caregiver Description: This position allows for a Lead Caregiver to
have a large impact on the business by leveraging his/her skills
and experience to enhance the quality of care to our clients. This
opportunity would allow this individual to participate in office
activities from a career development standpoint, while she/he is
able to service current clients. This leader provides mentorship
and oversight for caregivers of Assisting Hands. The Lead Caregiver
will be responsible and available for first shift introductions,
on-call coverage in the event of call outs or emergencies,
caregiver supervision, care note review, and caregiver training.
This position also requires the Lead Caregiver to foster
communication channels between our caregivers and the Assisting
Hands office team in order to improve Caregiver satisfaction and
retention. This role will also give the Lead Caregiver priority
consideration for additional shifts that become available. This
individual will also have opportunities to represent Assisting
Hands at various marketing events, functions, and conferences
locally in the area Primary Duties: 1 . Liaison to caregivers for
1st shift orientations; introducing the caregiver to the client and
ensuring that everything is in place for a successful shift. 2 .
Flexible availability to accommodate staffing needs for a diverse
group of clients requiring care of varying needs. The Lead
Caregiver would need to be comfortable driving to/from/with clients
and provide coverage as needed. The expectation requires the Lead
Caregiver to leave within 15-20 min once receiving the call for
support. All efforts will be made to provide a weekly schedule in
advance for the following week when possible, but ultimately the
focus of this role is to be available for last minute and
hard-to-staff shifts. 3 .Assist in providing education and training
to caregivers through Orientation, site visits, Nevvon tracking and
implementation, and setting an example for client care and
caregiver growth. 4 .Be a resource for current caregivers through
supervision and mentorship. 5 .Review weekly care notes of
caregivers, and report back on any concerning findings and follow
up on missing carenotes or those needing improvement. 6. Provide
administrative support at the Bedford office while not with
clients. This may include, but not limited to answering phones,
greeting visitors in the office, dropping off PPE, and office
organization. 7. Other activities as taught and overseen
periodically by the agency supervisor. 8 .Abides by the agency’s
infection control policies, including proper handwashing techniques
consistent with CDC and OSHA Guidelines. 9 .Abides by all policies
and procedures outlined in the agency’s Personnel Policy and
Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training
