ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 05/17/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM day shifts in a busy orthopedic Level 1 trauma center • 36 guaranteed hours per week with 12-hour shifts • 1:4 weekend rotation required • On-call requirements include one overnight trauma call from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Specialty team call scheduling per team rules (Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho) • Function as orthopedic RN circulator for complex total joint revisions and multi-trauma cases • Work independently with multiple vendors in fast-paced environment • Maintain efficiency with first case on-time starts and turnovers less than 30 minutes • Handle complicated joint revisions and orthopedic poly trauma cases • Train students and orientees as needed • 1:1 patient ratio in 26-bed operating room with multiple specialties • Minimum 2 years of Level 1 trauma experience required • CNOR certification preferred • Work with equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot • Epic EMR system utilized • Teal scrubs issued by hospital required Facility: This Level 1 trauma center features a comprehensive 30-bed operating room suite offering multiple specialty services including orthopedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, and endovascular procedures. The facility maintains state-of-the-art surgical equipment and technology to support complex trauma cases and specialized surgical procedures.
