Job Description:
Catholic Medical Center invites applications for the position of
a Per Diem (PRN) CT Scan Technologist. This role is crucial in our
commitment to providing excellent patient care and advanced imaging
services within our state-of-the-art facilities. The ideal
candidate will operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce
cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for
the diagnosis of medical issues in compliance with safety and
quality protocols. Operate CT equipment for diagnostic and
therapeutic purposes using advanced technical knowledge of CT
systems Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the
process and positioning patients to capture the necessary images
Adjust scan parameters correctly based on patient size, body area
of interest, and clinical indications Ensure compliance with all
safety guidelines to protect patients and staff from undue exposure
to radiation Maintain accurate patient records, including
documenting technical settings and billing information Collaborate
with radiologists to determine diagnostic procedures and ensure
clear, comprehensive imaging results Participate in ongoing
education and training to stay abreast of new technologies and
safety protocols Proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical
terminology Excellent patient management skills to address patient
anxiety or discomfort Ability to work collaboratively in a
team-oriented environment Critical thinking and problem-solving
skills Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality
