Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical Telemetry – Vermont Start Date: March 2, 2026 Location: Springfield, Vermont Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 25-bed adaptive acuity unit; every other weekend and holiday coverage as required Highlights: Adaptive acuity unit with occasional Progressive Care Unit (PCU) responsibilities at 3:1 ratio Charge nurse duties required as part of this role Drip experience and strong telemetry background essential Floating to other inpatient units within scope of practice may be required 13-week contract with non-billable orientation; holiday pay at 1.25x multiplier Small critical access facility setting with a close-knit care team Requirements: Active Vermont RN License or Compact License 2 years of current Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required Charge nurse experience required Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and drip experience strongly required ICU experience strongly preferred Minimum 3 months of previous travel nursing experience (non-negotiable) Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications Skills checklists for PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry (current within 1 year) required One supervisory signed reference from the past two years required Reliable personal vehicle required Why It's a Great Opportunity: This role offers experienced travel nurses the chance to step into a leadership position while providing high-quality care in a dynamic, adaptive acuity environment.
