Job Description:

_*Responsibilities: *_- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.- Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.- Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.- Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.- Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.- Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.- Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team.- Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.- Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records.- Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols._*Requirements:*_- 2 years of recent experience in RN (Med Surg) required.- Acute experience- Prior travel experience required.- Covid vax or declination accepted.- Must have up to date skills checklist from within the last year.- 2 professional references also required from within the last year._*Licenses/Certifications:*_BLS (Required), ACLS (Preferred) & RN License (MA)Job Types: Contract, Full-time, Travel nursingSalary: $2,200.00 - $2,500.00 per weekMedical specialties:* Medical-Surgical* TelemetryPhysical setting:* Acute careStandard shift:* Night shiftSupplemental pay types:* Signing bonusSupplemental schedule:* OvertimeWeekly schedule:* 3x12Ability to commute/relocate:* Methuen, MA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:* Nursing: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* BLS Certification (Required)* RN (Required)Work Location: In person
