Job Description:
Provides application support by coordinating incidents,
requests, problems, and changes on a variety of in-house built and
vendor applications, and Saas solutions. Tests, maintains, and
monitors computer programs and systems, including coordinating the
installation of computer programs and systems. Troubleshoots
program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning. Primary Responsibilities: Defines and recommends process improvement initiatives. Provides incident and problem management solutions, using SQL
and scripting languages (Perl and Shell). Participates in the development of tools used to facilitate
operational procedures. Completes technical service requests. Drives incident management and resolutions and identifies root
cause and coordination of fixes. Responsible for the creation and documentation of disaster
recovery procedures. Creates contingency plans covering key areas of vulnerability
within the system. Coordinates and configures systems installation and
infrastructure changes. Responsible for the maintenance of system diagrams and
operational procedures. Develops tools to automate the collection and analysis of
operational data. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on multiple projects concurrently. Establishes on-time and on-budget project goals. Maintains status of projects and monitors activities of team
members. Provides application support and assists in the identification,
isolation, and escalation of problems of limited scope. Participates in application functionality analysis by gathering
data and presenting it for analysis. Participates in the evaluation of design for existing systems to
assess their reliability, performance, usage, maintainability, and
cost of ownership. Participates in the development of technical solutions of
limited complexity to support delivery of service requests. Performs functional analysis for small to moderate projects. Participates in on-call rotations. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience automating software deployments, using Jenkins and
UDeploy. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience automating software deployments, using
Jenkins and UDeploy. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated expertise (DE) automating Jenkins builds, using
UNIX Shell scripting, Autosys JIL, and scheduler; performing
disaster recovery procedures using HPOO orchestration tools --
uDeploy, Jenkins, and Concourse; and automating procedures and
processes that drive ROI gains and improve application and platform
stability, using Jenkins and UDeploy. DE providing production environment support, using on-premise
(AWS and Azure) and legacy Cloud technologies; ensuring 100% uptime
of production environments, using Sitescope, My monitoring,
Datadog, Splunk, and Service Now tool; responding to monitoring
alerts and user inquirers; and automating manual procedures using
distributed applications -- Angular, Java Web Services, CI/CD, and
Shell scripting -- in Linux and Windows environments. DE coordinating level-2 production support, including batch
cycle support -- incident and problem management -- to resolve
critical issues within a 24x7 support and production environment,
using Control-M and Autosys; and providing temporary or permanent
resolutions -- reviewing and deploying production changes adhering
to enterprise change management guidelines -- using SQL, Perl, and
Shell scripts. DE conducting data analysis -- writing complex SQL queries for
data extraction and modeling from DB2, Oracle, and Sybase
relational databases, using SQL Developer, Toad, or Rapid SQL; and
reporting using Excel within an Oracle environment with data
