Job Description:

  • Directs and implements the organization's research and development objectives and initiatives in building envelope and fenestration systems/products
  • Consults with upper management and Executive team and makes recommendations based on research findings and product performance.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the organization and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Making improvements and/or modifications to current systems/products within the organization
  • Investigating and testing new products and systems
  • Provide technical expertise in product/system development
  • Responsible for rectifying issues that arise during development/product implementation Requirements and Qualifications:
    • Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Research/Development
    • Demonstrated experience leading others in R&D
    • Experience teaching and mentoring others
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into measurable action and present systems to management for evaluation and prioritization
    • Ability to present complex processes in easy to understand terms to Management
      Non-Essential Functions:
    • Attends periodic staff meetings and training sessions.
