Working under the direction of the Professional Marketing
Manager, will be responsible for supporting Student Competition
teams around the world to use MATLAB and Simulink to design and
build aerospace engineering solutions; serving as an advisor for
competition teams and mentors using MATLAB and Simulink;
collaborating with marketing, engineering, and other teams at
MathWorks worldwide to develop a strategy, marketing messages, and
supporting content; providing Competition Support; engaging with
team mentors and faculty advisors; visiting student teams and
providing technical support; working with MathWorks public
relations and marketing teams to identify public relations
opportunities; working with MathWorks stakeholders to build
relationships with competition organizers; attending competition
meetings and events to engage with the competition community;
pursuing training and speaking opportunities at competition events;
participating as a judge for the competitions where applicable;
developing criteria for MathWorks Awards; creating New Training
Materials for Student Teams; developing models necessary to
demonstrate proper usage of MATLAB and Simulink; developing ramp-up
and other materials needed by teams; leveraging mentors and faculty
advisors to create relevant demos and training materials for teams;
working with MathWorks stakeholders to disseminate/promote the
training materials to teams; acting as a Student Competition
Advocate within MathWorks; collecting data and performing analysis
on the training needs of teams and evaluating the success of the
training efforts; identifying competition trends; and interfacing
with development staff to build internal awareness of competition
needs. Requires frequent travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer and Information Science
and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer and Information Science
and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years
of experience programming in MATLAB for aerospace applications. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink. Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB to support
aerospace applications. Demonstrated expertise designing mechanical engineering research
competition or performing graduate mechanical engineering research,
including presentation of research results. Demonstrated expertise in technical writing of MATLAB-based
